Professional Accomplishments

Dr. Quigley’s main research has focused on the intracranial manifestations of the fungal organism Coccidioides immitis (valley fever) that is endemic to the southwestern United States. He subsequently presented an oral abstract on the Intracranial Manifestations of Coccidioidomycosis during the annual ACVIM forum in Seattle, 2007. Dr. Quigley has also authored a paper reporting the first documented case of a green algal infection in a dog. The paper is titled Disseminated Chlorellosis in a Dog and is currently published in the Journal of Veterinary Pathology (2009). Dr. Quigley has extensive training in both medical and surgical neurology, including seizure disorders, intervertebral disc disease, brain and spinal tumors, neuromuscular disorders, and congenital brain and spinal malformations. He is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). Dr. Quigley joined a specialty veterinary hospital in southeastern Michigan following his residency in 2008 and worked as the sole neurologist at the practice until August 2011. Dr. Quigley joined the team at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in September 2011.
